Corbyn declares himself unelectable.

It's the same mistake socialists have always made.

The down and out don't want to be down and out.

They want to be successful. So you tell them they are, somehow.

The workers don't want to be frigging workers. Figure it out already.

...it just did.

The killings were motivated by anti-semitism -- and the shooters were black.

All comment will now be hastily terminated.

Other than Bos-Wash and Stanford, where have you actually lived or spent significant amounts of time?

We really are heading off the deep end, fast.

'Why Anti-Semitism on the British Left Got so Bad, so Fast' -- NBC

That headline simply has no connection to reality -- and it's from a mainstream news organization.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch:

'Sustained power outages caused by electric-wire failures in Northern California could double or even quadruple in years to come unless PG&E steps up its replacement of aging equipment, according to a utility-commissioned analysis.'

First things first. This'll have to come after lowering rates, increasing minority hiring, and promoting green energy.

...and hey, when the outages come, just sue PG&E.

Right. The piece is by a certain 'Toby Greene.'

'... From 2016 to 2019 I was an Israel Institute post-doctoral research fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute for International Relations at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and an adjunct lecturer in the Politics department, and in the Rothberg International School.

During 2017-2018 I also served as an advisor on foreign policy issues to Israeli Leader of the Opposition Isaac Herzog.

From 2008 to 2015 I was Director of Research for BICOM, and founding Deputy Editor of BICOM's Fathom journal.

In 2015-2016 I was a Senior Goldman Fellow and adjunct lecturer in the School of Politics, Government and International Relations at Tel Aviv University.

I have published widely in both scholarly and general publications. My first book, Blair, Labour and Palestine; Conflicting Views on Middle East Peace After 9/11 was published by Bloosmbury Academic in June 2013. (Click here for links to all my academic publications.)

I have contributed to various publications in print and online including Prospect, the Guardian, New Statesman, Haaretz, Huffington Post UK, International Business Times, Jewish Chronicle and others.

My work has also been published by various think tanks including the Tel Aviv based Institute for National Security Studies (INSS)...'

Took a bit of digging, but yeah. The assailants were black.

Conservatives win a huge majority. Massive, historic victory and vindication for Boris Johnson. Labour has been effectively destroyed, albeit with a good deal of help from Corbyn. All the highbrow media outlets (in particular The Economist) who called Johnson a clown, a buffoon, speculated he might be the shortest-serving PM of all time, etc. look like complete fools. Obviously, Remainer sentiment was neither widespread nor strongly-held.

I still think Brexit is idiotic, and may in the fullness of time be seen as a significant nail in the coffin of Western civilization - but, Britons have voted for it in three clear elections, so facts are facts.
